Toldot Yisrael is a Jerusalem based nonprofit dedicated to recording and sharing the firsthand testimonies of the men and women who helped found the State of Israel. Hundreds of video interviews have been conducted with those who were involved in the pre-State struggle and the momentous events of 1948. Toldot Yisrael’s aim is to conduct hundreds more over the next few years – while it is still possible. The footage is being developed into a website, educational material, and films that will bring authentic accounts of the founding of the State of Israel to the general public - both in Israel and the Diaspora.
