What is the Document Delivery Service?

The National Library allows you to receive high-quality copies and scans from the Library collections. A scan or print-out of the various items such as: manuscripts, archives, maps, journals, books, photographs and more can be ordered.

Additionally, the service allows books and scans to be ordered from other libraries in Israel and abroad. The service is by payment.

Fast Track for Interlibary Loan

Fast Track Terms for Delivery of Copies:

  • Some of the items are subject to copyright law. After receiving the request, the Library will ascertain if the copyrights and terms of use enable it to be scanned. In cases when the item is subject to copyright or limiting terms of use, the Library will inform the client and the item will not be scanned.
  • The cost of this service is double the price of the tariff.
  • When ordering a scan from a microfilm the service will be rendered for up to three reels.
  • When ordering a scan from periodicals or books the service will be rendered for up to three items.

Business days are calculated according to the day and hour when payment is made in exchange for the service. For example, if payment is made on Sunday at 4:30 pm, the service will be provided by Wednesday at 4:30 pm. If payment is made after 5:00 pm, the counting of business days will begin at 8:00 am on the following day.
