Guided Tours

Tours for the General Public

We invite you to join a guided tour in English for the general public.

Come and explore the home of Israel’s greatest cultural treasures—and perhaps even discover your own story along the way.

During this tour, we will visit the breathtaking new home of the National Library of Israel and explore a selection from the millions of items housed within its walls: rare books, antique manuscripts, interesting photographs, unique maps, historic posters, personal archives, and more.

In our permanent exhibition - "A Treasury of Words" - we will explore the history of the written word and how it has shaped our lives. We will also visit the rotating exhibition, and walk among Letters of Light—the stunning installation created by sculptor Micha Ullman.

Tour duration: about an hour and a half.

You also have the option of a self-guided tour.

Please also note that entry to the National Library itself is free of charge.
