The Rektoratskirche St. Karl Borromäus, known as the Karlskirche (German for 'Charles Church'), is a Baroque church in the Karlsplatz in Vienna, Austria. The church is dedicated to Saint Charles Borromeo, a leading figure of the Counter-Reformation. Located on the border of Wieden and the Innere Stadt, the city centre, it is one of the most important Baroque churches north of the Alps and one of Vienna's most popular landmarks.
