Petukhovsky District (Russian: Петуховский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,780 square kilometers (1,070 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Petukhovo. Population: 20,493 (2010 Census); 24,253 (2002 Census); 28,109 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Petukhovo accounts for 55.1% of the district's total population.
