Meliolales of India, c1996:p. 14 (Meliolales Gaumann ex Hawksworth & Erikson, Systema Ascomycetum 5:142, 1986; Type family: Meliolaceae) p. 15 (Gaumann (1964) considered that Meliolaceae are closely related to prototunicates. Muller & von Arx (1973) treated under unitunicate acomycetes. Nannfeldt (1932) pleaded that these have relationship with bitunicates. Erikson (1982) suggested Meliolaceae and Asterinaceae have common origin and treated under broadly conceived Dothidiales. However, the Meliolaceae differ from Asterinaceae in having phialides and hyphopodia, evanacent asci, brown and tranversely 1-4 septate ascospores. Meliolaceae is the single family under this order Meliolales.)

Wikipedia description:

Meliolales is a fungal order in the class Sordariomycetes. Meliolales, also known as black mildews, are obligate parasitic ascomycetous fungi that are found in the tropics and subtropics on leaves, twigs, and sometimes fruit of vascular plants. As parasites, they are frequently parasitized by other fungi, known as hyperparasites.
