| השיר נכתב בתקופה שלפני מלחמת השחרור. בתקופה זו התקרב עמנואל זמיר, בהשראת אחיו דוד שהיה רועה בקיבוץ מרחביה, לאגודת הנוקדים והשתתף בחגיהם. הוא חבר למלחינים מתתיהו שלם ויזהר ירון, וכתב והלחין כמה משיריו הידועים ביותר, בהם "באר בשדה", "הקוצרים הידד", "שאנו בתוף" ו"בפאת הכפר".-- זמרשת |
