	שיבוש של השיר "מחול השומרים" מאת אסף הלוי, שנמסר לדפוס בשנת 1914. לשיר הותאם ריקוד על ידי הכוריאוגרפית רבקה שטורמן בשנת 1945. בישיבות ליטאיות שרים את השיר "חינדהלה" (חנדעלעך) בניגון זה. לדברי אליהו הכהן, הלחן הוא של שיר ערבי שנשמע בארץ בתקופת העליה השניה. בלחן דומה שרים, בקהילות אשכנזיות אחדות, את הפיוט "האדרת והאמונה" בשמחת תורה. הלחן ממשיך להתגלגל עד ימינו; הרכב הטראנס Infected Mushroom מבצע את השיר תחת הכותר "Becoming insane‏".
