	השיר יצא לאור לראשונה באלבומה של חוה אלברשטיין משנת 1975 "כמו צמח בר". בגלל התיזמון ובגלל תוכנו השיר נתפס בציבור כשיר המתיחס לתופעת הלם קרב שלקו בה חיילים רבים ששבו ממלחמת יום הכיפורים.
