ברכת הגומל נוסח ספרד: אוֹדֶה ה' בְּכָל־לֵבָב, בְּסוֹד יְשָׁרִים וְעֵדָה: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַגּוֹמֵל לְחַיָּבִים טוֹבוֹת, שֶׁגְּמָלַנִי כָּל־טוּב הקהל עונה: אָמֵן, הָאֵל שֶׁגְּמָלְךָ / שֶׁגְּמָלֵךְ כָּל־טוּב, הוּא יִגְמָלְךָ / יִגְמְלֵךְ כָּל־טוּב, סֶלָה נוסח אשכנז: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַגּוֹמֵל לְחַיָּבִים טוֹבוֹת, שֶׁגְּמָלַנִי כָּל־טוּב הקהל עונה: אָמֵן. מִי שֶׁגְּמָלְךָ / שֶׁגְּמָלֵךְ כָּל־טוּב, הוּא יִגְמָלְךָ / יִגְמְלֵךְ כָּל־טוּב, סֶלָה המברך משיב: אָמֵן כֵּן יְהִי רָצוֹן |

ברכת הגומל הינה ברכת הודאה למי שניצל מצרה ומי שהיה בסכנת חיים. יש לברך אותה בפני ציבור, וכיום נהוג לומר אותה לאחר אחת מן העליות של קריאת התורה, בסמוך לברכת התורה. |

• הַגּוֹמֵל לְחַיָּבִים - לפי תהלים קג, י: "וְלֹא כַעֲוֹנֹתֵינוּ גָּמַל עָלֵינוּ".
• הַגּוֹמֵל - עושה טוב, מגן ומציל (ראו תהלים יג, ו; ישעיהו סג, ו). אפשר לפרש גם נותן טוב, מלשון גמול.
• סֶלָה - לעד, לנצח. אפשר להבין גם במשמעות המקבילה ל"אמן".
