Joseph and Haim Amzalak were among the leading figures of the Jewish settlement in Eretz Israel of the 19th century, being involved in banking. Both were British citizens and held a number of positions as trade representatives. Also James, who was born to a later generation, kept holding an outstanding position and was active in the British overseas club in the early 20th century. The collection includes original documents and copies connected with Joseph, Haim, and James Amzalak, ingoing letters (originals and copies), and family photographs. The documents of the collection include English, French, Turkish, Italian, and Hebrew. The collection was permanently deposited in the Archive department by Ruth Kark on June 1985.
