Description

The file contains: One handwritten letter from Ambassador White to Consul Dickson in Jerusalem (Constantinople April 22nd, 1891), forwarding a request from the Syrian Patriarch to the Marquess of Salisbury, asking for support in the dispute between his church and the Armenian church over the church of the Holy Sepulchre. White also added a letter from Bishop Blyth which also forwarded the Syrian petition, and is asking Dickson to find out details and return the letters immediately with his information.
