Description Examines the history of one of the three "housing communes" (Wohngemeinschaft) in eastern Silesia established by the Nazis in 1941 in order to resettle Jews of Breslau (Wrocław) in the countryside. The ouster of the Jews from Breslau was preceded by their resettlement from the prestigious districts of the city to suburbs in 1939. The transit camp in Riebnig (Rybna) existed from October 1941 to March 1943 and contained several hundred inmates. Deportations began in April 1942, destined for Izbica (Poland), Theresienstadt, Auschwitz, and Maly Trostinets (near Minsk).
