Born 09/15/1918 in Posen. Education primary school and high school in Berlin, Teacher seminar in Tel Aviv, student of the University of Jerusalem. Emigration: February 1934. Career: work as Haluz and teacher in a Kibbutz, director of a children's village. Inspector in Youth Aliya, designer of educational curriculums, part time jobs, retirement. Interview: Reasons for emigration, assimilated father but nevertheless Zionist. 1933 preparatory camp, 1934 Israel. Parents stayed in Germany and went to England in 1939, after the war to Israel. Foundation of a Kibbutz in 1936; wedding; works as a teacher (1936-51). Separation within the Kibbutz movement. 50 families left and made a new beginning. Building of a new house 1954-69. Work as Haluz. After leaving the Kibbutz leader of a children's village. His further professional career. Children: son 1942, daughter 1947. About his son's education and life. Voluntary work in a Holocaust museum. About his wife: from Lithuania. Language situation: Hebrew as every day language. Not much contact with Germany. About his relationship to Germany. Visits to Germany. Relationship to non-Jewish surroundings. He likes to go to Germany or Austria. About being a Jekke. About his Father. German language. English. Contacts with Germany. About Zionism and religion, he is not religious, reasons. About the political situation in Israel. Language. A strange rediscovery of love for Germany with old people. The interview turns into a discussion with Mr. ; Eflal, his wife, a friend and the interviewer. Topic: Germany.
