"This book orignates from the photographic research that was done for the exhibit "Passato Prossimo-Recent Past" held at the Jewish Museum of Venice on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Venice Ghetto (1516-2016). These extraordinary images, illustrating the life of the Ghetto, were photographed be Graziano Arici and consititute both a historical memory of the most recent years and a lovng memorial to those who are not here anymore." -- back cover.
