- Wikipedia, January 22, 2018(Minxin Film Company (Chinese: 民新电影公司), or the China Sun Film Company; one of the earliest movie studios in the history of Chinese film; established in 1922 in Hong Kong by director and actor Lai Man-wai and his brother Lai Pak-hoi; the company moved to Shanghai in 1926 due to the economic turmoil in Hong Kong at that time; was absorbed into the newly-formed Lianhua Studios in 1930, but in 1936, Lai Man-wai split it off to form a newly-independent Minxin Film Company)
